What Is E2E Testing?

Definition

End-to-end testing verifies a complete user journey through an application. A browser E2E test performs user actions and asserts an outcome visible through the web app.

Why it matters

Unit tests can pass while the complete journey fails because of routing, configuration or the way components work together. A small set of browser tests can cover those interactions without replacing lower-level testing.

How teams handle it today

Teams choose important user journeys, prepare accounts and fixtures, and assert specific outcomes. Browser suites work best when each test has an independent starting state and a clear failure owner.

How Zerocheck approaches it

Zerocheck turns a flow description or manual checklist into editable browser steps. Review the drafted test and its real result in the web app, save it and rerun it there, or use downloaded YAML through the optional CLI.
