# What Is Test Orchestration?

## Definition

Test orchestration coordinates which tests run, where they run, their required setup and how results affect a delivery process.

## Why it matters

A suite can be correct yet operationally difficult if fixtures conflict or results are not tied to the right change. Orchestration makes those dependencies explicit.

## How teams handle it today

Teams configure environments, dependencies, selection and artifact collection in their CI system. Larger suites may need scheduling or distribution capabilities suited to their infrastructure.

## How Zerocheck approaches it

Zerocheck supports named dev, staging and production environments, a local or hosted browser and selection by test or YAML path. Tests run sequentially. It does not provide diff-based selection, sharding or a general orchestration platform.
