# What Is Cross-Browser Testing?

## Definition

Cross-browser testing verifies an application in more than one browser engine or browser environment to identify compatibility differences.

## Why it matters

A flow working in one browser does not establish that it works in another. Differences can involve rendering, input behavior, web APIs and platform integration.

## How teams handle it today

Teams choose a browser and device matrix based on actual users, run representative flows in each and use appropriate real-device testing when needed.

## How Zerocheck approaches it

Zerocheck currently runs Chromium browser tests. It does not provide Firefox, Safari, native mobile or real-device execution. Keep a separate compatibility workflow when those environments matter to your customers.
