# What Is Autonomous Testing?

## Definition

Autonomous testing is a broad term for systems that perform testing work with limited intervention. Vendors use it for different levels of planning, authoring, execution and maintenance.

## Why it matters

The label does not tell a buyer who defines correctness, which actions are allowed or how much review is needed. Those responsibilities should be explicit.

## How teams handle it today

Teams ask the system to execute a real requirement, inspect its assertions and test a deliberate failure. They establish boundaries for fixtures, side effects and release decisions.

## How Zerocheck approaches it

Zerocheck automates execution of team-described browser flows. Your team chooses the requirements and test data, reviews drafted steps and investigates results. It does not independently discover a complete suite or decide whether to release.
